CK Akonnor, the coach of the Black Stars, has been fired by the GFA

The appointment of Black Stars Coach Charles Akonnor and his two assistants has been cancelled by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council with immediate effect. Following Ghana's Group G World Cup qualifying matches against Ethiopia and South Africa, technical reports from Akonnor and the Black Stars Management Committee were received. After examining the two reports, the Executive Council has decided to part ways with Head Coach C. K Akonnor and his two assistants. The Executive Council has organized a three-person committee, consisting of Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Side Councilman Mark O'Brien, and Upper East Side Councilman Mark O'Brien. Dr. Edward Ackah Nyamikeh Junior, President of the Ghana Hotels Association, says a huge number of hotels have yet to recover from the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. On the sidelines of the signing event for the 5th Ghana Hotels Association Awards 2020 between the Hotels Association and Customer Service Africa, he told Joy Business that a large number of hotels have been unable to meet even half of their pre-Covid-19 occupancy rates. “We continuously urging the government that it needs to do more to help the industry. In the midst of the pandemic [Covid-19] in 2020, so much debt was produced in the hotel operations... Shatta Wale, a dancehall rapper, has hit back at Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the CEO of 3Media Network, for belittling his IQ. Not long ago, the two were at odds after Sadiq claimed that the award-winning singer was becoming an unreliable figure in the music industry. On Wednesday, during Shatta Wale's chat with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the two's animosity erupted once more. It all started when Shatta Wale said that musicians in Ghana do not make much money from music promotion platforms like iTunes and YouTube. “I think he should bring the numbers out. Between January and June of this year, 417 Ghanaians attempted suicide. According to a press release issued by the Mental Health Authority on September 10, this is the case. “These estimates could potentially be substantially higher than we know,” the Authority said. To mark Suicide Prevention Day, which is observed just on tenth day of September each year, the Authority shared figures as part of its mission to raise awareness and rally support for an end to a problem that knows no bounds, gender, or age.     “This regrettable behavior is not limited to a specific age group, gender, or occupation, but can be found across all socioeconomic strata and demographic characteristics.
